‘Ronger Jadu’

In ‘Ronger Jadu’ (The Magic of Color) we are finding positive indications that this class is helping the children better their attention and coordination. They enjoy working together, working with their mothers, sitting in circles and they invest a lot of attention and make a great effort.

One mother regularly comes with her twin girls, Ananta and Duranta, both of whom are autistic. Ananta is able to socialize and participate in the music class  and is advanced in her coloring skills. Duranta, her twin sister was more introverted and was more silent in the music class and would spend the entire art class sitting next to Aadil keenly observing his paintings. I urged the mother to give her time, not to worry that she was not participating. Sure enough, after two years Duranta suddenly asked for paper,  pen and watercolors. Her first effort was an impressive self portrait.  She had followed Aadil’s painting technique down to little details! Within the year she went on to win a local art competition. She is also now participating in the music class and will come up to greet me quite verbally.
